Corporate philosophy

Since its foundation in 1946, our company has endeavored to take initiatives that contribute to the novel joy of beauty cosmetic care, beautiful personal qualities, and the development of the beauty industry while embracing a progressive spirit; the sale of Japan’s first perm solutions, hairspray and acidic hair dye, the construction of a cost free accommodation facility for hairstylists learning various skills , the hosting of Japan’s first hair styling contest, and an event to provide support for students who study at cosmetology schools called ARIMINO Future’s Road “Design Power.” In order for us to remain a company that continues to support the future of the beauty industry we will strive to contribute to SDGs as part of CSR activities, while being mindful of current societal and environmental issues.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (the 2030 Agenda) is a set of international development goals from 2016 to 2030, which was adopted by the UN Sustainable Development Summit held in September 2015.
The 2030 Agenda listed “Sustainable Development Goals” consisting of 17 goals and 169 targets in order to eradicate poverty and realize a sustainable world. The SDGs are universal goals applicable, not only to developing countries but also developed countries, and pledge “Leave no one behind.” through the implementation process. Products Development

Aiming to solve the escalating climate change and plastic waste issues, we place the ARIMINO Eco Baton Mark on all products that have met our company standards based on the general principles of the Plastic Resource Circulation Act to make 70% of our major products environmentally conscious products by 2030.

Product stability and safety

Product stability testing

We conduct product stability and safety tests to ensure customers’ safety. We conduct product stability tests with the product’s shelf life and environment in mind, and also confirm the safety of final products based on their characteristics, such as rinse-off and non-rinse off products. The ingredients used in our products are also strictly chosen based on safety standards.

We take our clients to the manufacturing sites to explain manufacturing methods and our quality assurance. We establish mutual communication through tours and trial manufacturing to provide clients peace of mind and transparency.

Wastewater treatment equipment

Our manufacturing facility utilizes LED lights and sunlight to reduce electricity usage. We also make improvements to reduce waste accompanied by production activities and recycling.

Environmentally friendly containers and packaging

With a vision to make 70% of our major products environmentally friendly by 2030, we are proactively working on the development of environmentally friendly products and research. For product development we are expanding the use of refillable products and paper packaging for products, adopting Bio PET containers, reducing plastics in product containers, and transitioning paper material, including brochures, to a digital format. For research development we pursue initiatives for the development of product formulation that leads to resource conservation and highly biodegradable formulation.
